iPad photography app PhotoPad is one of the most downloaded free photography apps on the app store. The question is how does it fare against some of the great paying photo editor apps available? So I’ve been playing with Apple’s iPad recently and have come to the conclusion that the it’s a great tool for photographers. You have a multitude of things you can do on it from using it as a digital frame, to editing your photos, to displaying images to your clients or potential clients. For those reasons I have started looking into some of the great apps available to you as a photographer on the iPad.

In todays screencast I wanted to cover another simple feature of Lightroom. The feature is the publish services features of Lightroom 3, I’ve used the Flickr option in the past but I recently picked up an iPad and wanted to sync some of my photos to my new device. Since there is no way to automatically sync Lightroom and the iPad I’ve found the publish services invaluable.

Photography has so many aspects some times it’s hard to focus, it’s when I’m in that mind set where I’m unfocused that I like to get up close and personal and shoot some macro photography.

Great news for Olympus PEN owners, Olympus will be releasing a firmware update that will speed up autofocus one of the areas most needed. Grab the link below for instructions on how to update your camera.
Hamburg, 15 April 2010 – Olympus is to enhance the performance of its groundbreaking PEN cameras with a new firmware update. The update speeds up auto-focus for photos and movies across the whole PEN range. The new firmware will be available as a download from Olympus websites from April 22, 2010, 3:00 am CET.

I’ve written this review countless times and each one has sounded worse then the one before it and for a long time I didn’t realize why. Then it came to me; Annie is a great photographer and the book has tons of great photos but that is not the reason to buy the book. It’s the perspective she provides on the life of a photographer that makes this book. Annie gives you quite the ride through her career showing you how she got started, how she works and a little bit of what inspires her.
It’s not about the photos stupid, it’s about the life and how to get the photos you want.
