Lytro is the new photography startup that is trying to change both how you photograph and how you edit your photographs after the fact. They are claiming that they can record multiple light fields allowing them to let you focus your shot after you’ve taken it in your post processing. They have called this a Living picture.

You’ll need a new camera to do this along with all new software to make your picture a living picture. But if this turns out to be true it’ll be pretty amazing when you can take a photo and re-focus to change what you want to convey in your photograph. Hopefully we’ll see what you can do with these photos other than play with them on the web. I’d love to see what they actually print up as if you want to hang one on the wall.

To play around with these pictures click them to see how you can change the focus, very cool!

Check out some more of the samples below -

I’m always on the lookout for great photography workshops, I think they are a great way to get out of a rut and see new things, meet new people and expand your photographic skills. Finding great trips however is always a tough thing to do, you have the bigger companies offering trips along with plenty of local outfits, how to choose the best?

<!--//    var m3_u = (location.protocol=='https:'?'https://d1.openx.org/ajs.php':'http://d1.openx.org/ajs.php');    var m3_r = Math.floor(Math.random()*99999999999);    if (!document.MAX_used) document.MAX_used = ',';    document.write ("<scr"+"ipt type='text/javascript' src='"+m3_u);    document.write ("?zoneid=101068");    document.write ('&cb=' + m3_r);    if (document.MAX_used != ',') document.write ("&exclude=" + document.MAX_used);    document.write (document.charset ?

To help solve those problems a new website called All Photo Adventures has launched recently in a bid to let everyone find the trip that best suits them. They allow you to search by region, by map view, company putting on the trip and keywords. Hopefully this will help photographers take a chance on a photo trip and get the trip that suits them the best in the process.
