Sony takes pro-quality imaging and creative options to new extremes with the easy-to-use NEX-7. Styled in magnesium alloy for strength and premium looks, the NEX-7 weighs a travel-friendly 291g (camera body only).
The NEX-7 features a newly-developed Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor with 24.3 effective megapixel resolution that’s teamed with the latest revision of Sony’s BIONZ image processing engine.
This unique combination of sensor and processor assures ultra-rapid shooting responses, plus flawless image quality with ultra-low noise when shooting still images or Full HD video. Extending from ISO 100-16000, the ultra-high sensitivity range makes it easy to capture clean, low-noise images in dimly lit interiors or at dusk.

Photojojo recently started selling a lens mount kit for the iPhone3 and 4. It allows you to attach your Nikon or Canon lenses to your iPhone. Looks like it could be fun but the part I don’t get is if your planning on carrying your big heavy lenses why not carry your good camera as well? Is this something you would use?

Today Olympus announced the EP-3 in the latest in the line of PEN cameras. It has quite a few improvements yet continues the line’s look and feel in a way that Panasonic does not seem willing to do. Hopefully the claims of better autofocus and a better LCD work out as great as they sound.

I went out of my way to make sure the entire project was above board, licensing all the cover songs from > Miles Davis’s publisher and giving the total profits from the Kickstarter fundraiser to the five musicians > that participated.
I know Andy thought he was in the right and didn’t have to license the cover art, but to license everything else and ignore the copyright owner of the photograph to me shows blatant disregard for Jay’s work.

Pentax announced the Q a small interchangeable lens camera that like the micro 4/3′s and the Son NEX series does not contain a mirror. Rather the Q like most point and shoots rely on the LCD and EVF accessories for framing your shot. Unlike the M4/3 and NEX the Q has a tiny sensor that is likely to yield higher digital noise at all ISO levels. Many people have been praising it for it’s retro look but to me it looks not retro but cheap. We’ll have to wait for the test’s to come out to see how it holds up but I’m not holding my breath.
