In todays screencast I wanted to cover another simple feature of Lightroom. The feature is the publish services features of Lightroom 3, I’ve used the Flickr option in the past but I recently picked up an iPad and wanted to sync some of my photos to my new device. Since there is no way to automatically sync Lightroom and the iPad I’ve found the publish services invaluable.

The feature is the before and after buttons, this feature lets you see what changes you have made in comparison to what the image originally looked like or what it looked like when you last too a snap shot of the image. An incredibly powerful feature.

In todays screencast I wanted to cover a simple but under used feature of Lightroom. Virtual Copies of your images allow you to keep multiple versions of the same image with different effects applied to each copy. The cool thing about this feature is you can store all the different iterations of your images with almost no overhead. This is made possible by Lightroom’s non-destructive workflow, each copy is just a new set of metadata not a completely new copy of the image. Your hard drive will thanks you
