            Basalt rocks are some of the most fascinating and photogenic rocks in the world. They make landscape photography an absolute pleasure and can create some strong compositions. Kálfshamarsvík is loaded with basalt! The beautiful lighthouse works as a fantastic focal point for all the leading lines and repetitional patterns the basalt can make. In this episode, I explore this small cove and share how I find new locations to photograph. Kálfshamarsvík is definitely on the must-see list of Iceland. Kálfshamarsvík is neither secret nor hidden, but you will have to get off the beaten path to find it.
